Great Views In the Emerald City

The Space Needle isn't the only place to enjoy a great view of Seattle!  Two of my other favorite places include Smith Tower, and the Columbia Tower.  Both are observation decks where you can get great pictures of the city or simply enjoy the view with a friend....and MUCH cheaper than the Space Needle.

The Smith Tower:  This one has much more history than the Columbia.  It was opened in 1914, and it remained the tallest building west of the Mississippi River for almost 50 years.  Here is a link to provide you with price information, hours, and directions http://www.smithtower.com/Observation.html

Columbia Tower:  The Columbia Tower is a much more modern commercial building, but boasts an extravagant view from its 73rd floor observation deck.  The deck is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm on the weekdays.

  1. Don't forget about the 40th floor Starbucks in the Columbia Tower! Great views + a latte = a perfect Seattle afternoon.
